Yes! Your RA will be there to assist you in getting your room key, finding your room and moving in.

Yes, we are in close proximity to a number of major retail stores such as Walmart, Target, Office Depot, and Home Depot which should carry the basics necessary for getting settled into your room.

Yes! Trinity Baptist Church has a singles ministry called Rooted that meets on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the Gym. This is a great way for you to get connected to other singles in the church.

Orientation is a program that all new students (including transfers) must attend prior to beginning classes at TCJ. Attendance is mandatory due to the value of the content that is covered and also ensures that all students are introduced to the culture and values of our college.

Yes! We welcome family members to attend Orientation. Orientation is designed for parents, guardians, and spouses of new students. We do not provide childcare.

No. Family members are encouraged to attend but Orientation is only REQUIRED for new students.

Attendance at Orientation is required but in the event of a legitimate emergency, please contact the Student Life Office immediately and notify them of your situation by email at studentlifeoffice@tcj.edu.

TCJ does have a student dress code that can be found in the Student Success Guide provided above. Classroom dress would be expected for Orientation.

Everything you need will be provided in a packet when you arrive at Orientation.

No, students must stay throughout the entire Orientation program. You will not be excused from orientation for work-related reasons so plan to take the morning off from work.

Yes, if you would like to communicate with an advisor we will assist you in making that happen. Please notify us ahead of time.

Want to receive your STUDENT ID CARD when you arrive on campus?

Students should email a photo of themselves to  studentlifeoffice@tcj.edu. This picture will be on your Populi account and will also be used for your Student ID card. Carefully follow the specified guidelines shown in the example below.

Failure to submit a photo before arriving to campus will delay your access to the dorms, dining commons, classes and other areas on campus.
